Alden Joint Use Conference 2020

At Alden, we understand that joint use professionals work better when everyone works together. Since 1995, we have centered our software and services around this concept. Our newest initiative to help professionals collaborate is our fast-growing joint use event, the Alden Conference.

The 2019 conference sold out and brought together electric utilities, telecommunications professionals, broadband providers, engineers, and contractors for a successful 3-day meeting focused on industry collaboration. The 2020 conference will mark our third annual networking and training event.

Why Electric Power, Telecom, and Broadband Professionals Will Benefit from the Alden Conference

We understand the most significant issue facing joint use industry professionals today is communication. Joint use processes can often be slow, unreliable, and unpredictable. Professionals juggle so many tasks with so little time and communication between internal and external partners can be challenging. Below are three ways that our industry partners and clients benefit from this conference:

1. Group Discussions

Because of all the various challenges surrounding joint use, we designed our conference around authentic and confidential discussions on industry issues. We carve out dedicated time on the agenda to facilitate conversations around communication and collaboration. Attendees find value from hearing what their partners face, and by speaking with each other about their own current challenges.

2. Alden One® Training

The Alden Conference offers first-hand training on the Alden One® platform. Users learn about new features, how to get the most out of Alden One®, and communicate ideas to our development team. Alden’s developers love to hear users’ insight and experiences. This conference offers everyone in attendance the opportunity to influence the future direction of the platform.

The 2020 Conference will focus on training more than ever before. We know everyone's experience level is different, so classes will not be designed as "one size fits all." Our goal is to offer levels of training from beginner to advanced. Another exciting addition will be the option for customer-specific training offered to our clients plus their specific attachers/renters. Again, we work better when we work together.

3. Trending Industry Topics

Lastly, the conference will include presentations of trending industry topics. New to the 2020 conference, we will present advanced solutions for outside plant data collection and management. In 2019, topics included LIDAR, pole maintenance, small cell, and DAS.

As we shape the agenda for 2020, please reach out to maryashley.canevaro@aldensys.com with the specific topics YOU want to hear about. Your input is extremely valuable.

What Attendees Can Expect

The Alden Conference format is diverse. We offer small group workshops, one-on-one meetings with account managers, client meetings with our CEO, plus large group meetings for speaker sessions. The 2020 conference kicks off on Sunday, April 5, with a networking welcome reception. We provide all meals for guests, and will offer several choices for fun group activities the afternoon of Monday, April 6 (options to be shared in the coming months). The conference concludes at noon on Wednesday, April 8. Read more about the agenda here.

The 2020 event will be hosted in Alden’s hometown, Birmingham, Alabama, at the luxurious, yet family-friendly, Ross Bridge Golf Resort and Spa. The resort is home to a celebrated Robert Trent Jones golf course.
